The Public Theatre is announcing an exciting new program to give you an insider’s experience of the theatre.

Membership is limited to 30 participants.

This season, in The Public Theatre Book Club, you’ll be reading two scripts:

Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House (preferred adaptation by Frank McGuinness) and Lucas Hnath’s critically acclaimed Broadway hit, A Doll’s House, Part 2.

Out & About: ‘Human Error’ just perfect - Review

This new play starts out on the wacky side, then turns to one of America’s most serious issues: the yawning cultural chasm that separates millions of us.

Pfeffinger’s play oscillates between the comic and serious sides, and I think he strikes a perfect balance.

Pfeffinger’s writing is witty throughout and the five professional actors give excellent performances under Schario’s deft direction.

The Public Theatre announces 2018-19 season

“Fall is officially here, which means it’s time for The Public Theatre’s 2018-19 season to begin!” Christopher Schario, artistic director of Lewiston/Auburn’s professional theater, said.

The theatre’s reputation for producing must-see professional theatre continues with a new season that includes a recent Broadway hit and several new plays performed by Broadway veterans.
