The Public Theatre presents acclaimed international storyteller Antonio Rocha in Chickens and Crocodiles, a collection of silly stories from around the world, beginning on Sunday, May 21st .
Transforming himself into a chicken, a crocodile and even a gorilla right before your eyes, Antonio Rocha’s unique skills, coupled with joyful audience participation, will delight and amaze young theatre-goers ages 4-10 years old and their families.
Antonio Rocha has toured 6 continents with his fun filled array of stories. A native of Brazil, he received a Partners of the Americas grant to come to the USA to perform and deepen his mime skills with Master Tony Montanaro and Master Marcel Marceau. Mr. Rocha's mesmerizing solo shows of stories and mime have been performed from Singapore to Vancouver and many places in between.
As part of The Public Theatre’s mission to develop the theatergoers of tomorrow, tickets to this production at are only $5 for children 18 and under and $10 for adults.
Performances will be held on Sunday, May 21 at 2pm, Tuesday, May 23 at 4pm and Wed, May 24 at 9:30am, giving young children lots of options to attend, including after school.
Multiple elementary schools throughout Maine will also be attending the morning weekday performances.
