This spring The Public Theatre will present its 25th Annual Silent Auction and we are inviting you to be a part of it! Once again this year we will be celebrating Maine this year by featuring Maine products, businesses, and craftspeople.
We’re looking for a group of creative individuals to be on this year’s Silent Auction committee.
If you’ve ever thought about volunteering but didn’t want to make a huge commitment of time, this is a great way to start.
This project has a specific goal with an end date and a creative element that enables you to work with others, make new friends, and the flexibility to work on your own time schedule.
The time commitment of an auction volunteer includes SOME or all of the following tasks:
The sooner we get our committee together, the sooner we can get started. Get in touch with us today!

The Silent Auction supports Maine in two great ways; supporting a local Arts organization, and promoting Maine's diverse range of goods. When choosing your donation please keep this in mind. Any donation is greatly appreciated, but we will be featuring Maine Made items in a special section and clearly identifying them. Please be sure to let us know if your donation is a Maine product.
Almost 200 items will be on display in The Public Theatre Lobby, during the run of The Midvale High School 50th Reunion May 4 - 13, 2018
You need not attend a performance to bid. Simply stop by The Public Theatre, at Libson & Maple Streets in Downtown Lewiston, during Box Office Hours. The Box Office is open 12 noon - 5pm Monday-Friday, and opens at 12 noon on performance days.
We will have over 200 Items from these generous Maine Businesses, and Craftspeople. There is something for everyone. Watch this space for details on all the great items.
Remember... BID EARLY, BID OFTEN
The Auction is one of our largest fundraisers and is vital to keeping our ticket prices affordable to all. In past years this exciting event, which is our single largest fundraiser of the season, has raised thousands of dollars for The Public Theatre, contributing greatly to our ability to continue providing quality, professional theatre at a very reasonable price.
Your business will get valuable exposure to almost 2,000 theatre patrons who will attend the show and view the Auction. Donations can introduce customers to your business, as well as bring them directly to your door, when they purchase your item or Gift Certificate. Our bid sheets display your business name, location, web address and phone number. We are also happy to display your business cards and/or brochures alongside your donation during the Auction.
This wide variety of products and services from Maine artists and businesses will be on display in our lobby May 4-13 during the run of The Midvale High School 50th Reunion. Audiences won’t want to miss this charming romance that reminds us that it’s never too late to fall in love. This show promises to be a hit and this Auction will certainly give your product wonderful exposure to our patrons.
