We look back on a great season which brought laughs, tears, great stories, a vampire and, in Every Brilliant Thing, even some of YOU to our stage! Actors from all over the country who come to work with us have remarked that The Public Theatre has the BEST audience.  These artists feel welcome and supported here in Lewiston. I may be biased, but I’m inclined to agree!  We couldn’t do our work without you. I say it every time I do a curtain speech, and I mean it. Every single time.

Over the last year, we have made significant upgrades to the infrastructure of our 100-year-old building.  This work represents our commitment to the safety and comfort of all who enter the building and to many exciting seasons in the years to come.  While costly, this investment was necessary and will continue.  As I’ve said many times, “a building isn’t just a building when it’s your home.”

As we head into the summer, please help The Public Theatre prepare for another great season of bringing the highest quality professional theatre to our community.
