ONLINE Auction Fundraiser – our Silent Auction has moved online!

There’s something for everyone at our silent auction featuring items from businesses, and craftspeople from around the state.

Vacation trips, gift certificates, coveted products and crafts—our silent auction has it all, thanks to the generous support of businesses and individuals in our community.

We have moved our Auction ONLINE to help with fundraising this Fall.

Normally held annually during our May show, the Silent Auction is our single largest fundraiser. Support The Public Theatre by donating an item or service to be auctioned off, or bidding on an item!

Virtual PLAY Club – a book club for PLAYS – held online

We are inviting you to join us in discussing great plays.

The Public Theatre is creating a PLAY Club (like a Book Club but we read plays) and we’re inviting you to join. Every year when we pick our season, we read tons of great plays that never appear on our stage (sometimes for a simple reason like the cast size is too big), so we thought it’d be fun to share some of these great scripts with you and discover if you like them as much as we do.

Held on Zoom.

I Am A Story – at the Auburn Public Library – Now Online!

Join The Public Theatre and the Auburn Public Library for a morning of interactive and theatrical storytelling.

I Am A Story is an interactive and theatrical program designed to introduce children and their families to the magical and meaningful world of live theatre through contemporary and classic children’s literature. Recommended for children ages 4-8 (Pre-K to Grade 3)

Due to the pandemic we have moved this program online.  Videos are hosted by the libraries and free to access.
