Our generous friend hopes that offering to double the value of your gift will encourage you to donate. It seems fitting that our theatre, named for the “PUBLIC” it wanted to serve, now turns to our public for support. Remember in “It’s a Wonderful Life” when George Bailey needed help? Everybody he knew put in whatever they could and before you knew it, his laundry basket was full.
Theatre is something we do TOGETHER. We sit together, we laugh together, we cry together, and at this moment in time, we can only move forward together.
We miss you. Our passion to create and share what we do with you is unwavering, and yet the hard reality is that large gatherings will be the last to return to business as usual. The economic challenges we are facing from the loss of ticket sales and fundraising events are real, and we need your support more than ever to help us navigate and adapt to the uncertainty of this time with courage, creativity and grace.
We’re a scrappy creative bunch committed to finding innovative ways to move forward. Currently we’re putting our heads together to figure out ways to stay connected with you and the many children whose field trips to the theatre were cancelled. We look forward to creating new ways to serve you until we are able to welcome you back into the theatre for our upcoming 30th season.
We know this is a difficult time for everyone, but we hope you will consider the impact the theatre makes in your life and add whatever you can to our laundry basket.
